Re: Virus

Speaking of Jody....I had a major virus today And this was the ONLY website I could not get on after I did a virus scan in safe mode. I hate computer problems!

May have to cough up some serious Apple/Mac money!

taking a chance now...keeps blocking it but it got through once.

it's still on here now. I run kaspersky and AVG and it got through.

Once it gets on it disables regular security programs, will not let you install a new one, and only lets you go to some BS security website. Nasty to get off a computer....

DON'T CLICK ON THE RUN SCAN OF YOUR COMPUTER (supposedly to scan for viruses) THIS IS WHAT INSTALLS IT.

It says it came from the banner host, thats what my program said. Maybe they hacked the whole hosting site...who knows...

Re: Virus

I had that happen too, alt f4 about a hundred times.

I think it's malware and not a real virus.

I am sure it did, it happened to me early this morning and couldn't get on all day from various computers....

Wonder who is putting it on here, maybe accidently, however is a pain

Like Joby says, if it installs it completely you have numerous trojan and other viruses that start erasing data

Since I'm computer illiterate is it possible to get rid of this virus?! I did a virus scan in safe mode but probably a few more auto scans over the weeks that brought up the virus problem.
