Wouldn't you know a "sheppard" is in the running at Old Navy

Yes, I'm griping about improper spelling again LOL (you just can't take the English teacher out of me).

I've emailed them about this, but one of the six finalist dogs is classified as a "Sheppard/Collie mix." This annoys the HECK out of me. I sent Old Navy an email asking that they please edit the dog's profile with the correct spelling. Let's see if they do it.

I gues I ought to be thrilled that a shepherd of any kind ended up in the running? I also think it's odd that nearly all of the finalists have NO tricks (or training of any kind). Why'd they ask if they wanted an untrained dog?

Ditto!
I really like Josie...
I was just reading my local paper (the online version) and found this article.

It took me a minute to remember who had been talking about the Old Navy contest

Neat! However, seeing a full length pic of the dog I think she needs to lose weight. She looks a tad chunky to me...but of course that's entirely beside the point.

I still think my handsome Achilles shoulda been the Old Navy dog LOL. He even smiles for photos  . Ah well....such is life hee hee.

Me too. He probably spells his breed right too.

I voted for Data.

Yes he does!!! He lives with a grammar freak. He spells everything correctly :D . Now his dad...he has to ask how to spell everything (including Achilles  -- I can't tell you how often Michael calls to me, "Spell my dog's name!!"). Andi's a great speller, too. Abbie, however, she's got too much dern backwooods in'er and do'dn't give no rat's patootie how crap is spelt.

I do like Data! Personally, I don't even remember Magic. When the contest first opened I was going, "There's an Old Navy dog?"
Yeah, as that article said it appeared in ONE old navy commercial... I think you'd have better luck with "Pet Star"... Do they still show that btw? I'm never home enough to watch that....it got a little boring too. Got me all fired up (like my fiance with football) when the "cutesy" little dog won over the actually talented dogs. Oh well....
