Won't let me post reply....?

I was trying to reply to the "dogs for sale" thing I started but it keeps saying that only moderators can reply so, sorry for tying up a whole other subject.
Anyway, almost everything can be avoided with a waiver stating something like :

"Individuals are responsible for assessing the validity of information given by those buying or selling. Working Dog Forum assumes no responsibility, expressed or implied, as to the quality of dogs listed here and functions solely as a public listing service. "

Basically: do you'r own homework.
You could maybe add something to the effect of only working dogs, litters and prospects are allowed to be advertised and have someone that can delete totally off-base posts?
I would just worry about people listing way off-topic breeds or dogs OR people assuming that just because it's on a working board, it must be a working dog. Gotta have all the dumb waivers for the sheeple that don't think they should have to think for themselves.

I was wondering why everyone kept starting a new topic LOL!!! I just disabled that option, should be able to reply to posts now... hadn't thought of the whole "have a conversation" part of this section of the board :p

I added a GSD and Other breed Breeders list section in the Links page. I think that's about the extent I'll be willing to go as far as selling dogs. However, I would be willing to maybe go the "ask a moderator for permission to list a dog/s for sale" route so at least there's some screening and not just every moron coming to list their dogs here.

I'll have to think all this over.
I'll think on it too.
Like I said, it would be difficult. Maybe if it were just heavily moderated? Like you said, requesting to list might be an option but then there would still kinda have to be a section for it...
Hmm....

Oh, and thanks for fixing the "can't post a reply to you'r own discussion" thing!

i really think that's the best idea mike. it might mean more work for you, but then again i doubt the peddlers would want to go through all of that...
