What can I do for a dog that is very strong and has very very strong strong hip musles, he is a 75 to 80 pound dog.
His back ankles are showing signing of weakness. He is now 7 years old and has not had this problem up till this last year. He has sprained both back ankles now at different times. When he sprained them eack time it is when he has been either just running up a small hill or just going around a corner too fast.
Does anyone have any thoughts ?
He is already on Vit. E .. Salmon oil and a high quilty food that has the
glosaminie and congonetont (sorry sp? )

Is your dog a GSD? Getting weak in the back legs can be symtoms of something other then a sprain. Have you talked with your vet?
No he is not a GSD he is a mix of several power breeds (a resuce ).
Yes I took him to my vet 2x's and she has given him pain med each time and put him on bed rest.... haha thats makes him nuts ! and really seems to make the legs weaker in the end. Keeping him moving is better but I am worried about the weakness and not completely sure I'm buying the sprain this time. So thought I would turn to you for ideas and some input.
