Ok, I know this isn't about dogs, but just had to share some cute pics of my son, Shane, now 1 year old (AHHH!!) at the beach a few weeks ago. This was his first time there, but he took to the water like a fish!
Wondering what all this beige stuff is

Charging into the water

Taking a break

Our little setup (look how high the water got!!)

A "sand flea", I don't know the real name of this thing, but they make very good bait for saltwater fishing

After the beach, at home

Now! Being the nosey old granpa that I am, I sure hope you kept lots of sun block on Shane.

LOL! Oh, my, that was my first thought, until I remembered that these young parents know WAAY more than I did about the blessings of sun block!

P.S. No one should conclude that I am ANYWHERE NEAR Old Earth Dog Bob's age! I am TWO WHOLE YEARS YOUNGER! You can tell because no one calls me Old Rescue GSD Connie. Yet.

No, Carbon couldn't come because the beach I went to didn't allow dogs. We're planning on going to the Keys next summer, where pretty much every beach (at least on Key West) is dog-friendly.
And yes, Bob, Shane was thoughoughly slathered with baby sunblock! 8)

Maybe true but we have learned to say "yes mam", "no mam" when speaking to Connie! :D
