A local photographer wanted to expand her portfolio and offered to take pictures of our dogs for free. Here they are.

Thank you! :D :D The lot of them are camera hams!

Connie, she offered to give us a CD with ALL the photos, develop the proofs we liked best, OR do both! We didn't think it was fair to have her spend money on our pictures when she was kind enough to take them, so we opted for the CD; but we can get any of the pictures made that we want, in any size. So trust me, we'll be framing some!!

You are so fortunate...... I would looooove to get photos of that quality.

Or any quality, come to think of it............

I have exactly three -- one GSD, one Pug, and one both -- to my name (I mean digital).

All taken by other people and all a little below professional quality! LOL!

We take a TON of pictures ourselves (as I'm sure you've noticed), but we just have a consumer grade digital camera - nothing even near professional.

And Al, I think it was a Nikon, but I'll email the photographer and ask her exactly what model. :)

Ok, :( gotta be the only mean one here and say....I'm not that impressed. Your dogs are beautiful; I've seen that from YOUR pics. I actually think the camera is ok, but could've been set differently for portraits like these. I guess I just prefer a different type/style. Hey, ya can't beat free with a stick :) , but I've seen better dog portraits. Or maybe I'm just biased b/c I actually think your dogs are good-looking :p !

 You like MY dogs? Are you feeling okay? :-s

I'm kidding! Only kidding! Thank you, as always. I just know that complimenting any dog other than Caleb makes you like want to puke...

Honestly, I wasn't OVER THE TOP THRILLED with the photographs - I thought the lighting, in particular, could have been better - but like everyone has said: FREE! =D> And I've seen some of this woman's work. She CAN take some really nice pictures.

Gotta love Jaeger in the first picture, though. Can't decide if he's trying to be a porn star or a mountain lion!

Alicia, I don't even publicly say too many nice things about Caleb! I don't really get into telling everyone how cute their pups are; I figure they already know. But I agree w/the lighting thing. I think they could've been more...well, more something. Dom is getting big; I wonder how much longer Jaeger will allow him to climb on him  .

Tim,

Jaeger looks like he's swallowing in that picture or something - his muzzle usually looks much broader - but yes, it's "awesome". :D Thanks. It's definitely one of the ones we're going to have framed!

i'd also save a copy of the pic for when dominic gets older. you can show it to his friends and they will make fun of him because his mom made him wear a pink collar for the photo. or maybe send it in for his high school yearbook picture. LOL.
