Good morning! I actually registered some time ago, and just haven't posted anything as of yet.

I am a Deputy Sheriff in Central California, recently (finally!) assigned to K9. My partner is Ahron, a 16 month old (we think) German Shepherd born in Hungary. Photos may go up later. We are hoping to be in the October patrol class with Master K9 in Cherry Valley.

I am glad to have found this forum, there seems to be an outstanding balance of interests here and yet its not a bunch of people peeing on trees and fence fighting!

I think you're quite wrong, Susan. Regarding the first part, I'm often guilty of that. Regarding the second, the recently disappeared S----- v. L...has no humor...she's Dutch.

Thanks for missing me :lol: Hope to post next week that i´m expecting a litter, she´s mated 4 weeks ago monday and the ultrasound is wednesday.

Further Anne is maturing..and is getting a pain in the a**, she is on a raw diet since 3 wks. Desi and I learning to getting along, hope to go to the fall trial next year.

Rebuilding the kitchen was terrible...nothing for me :roll: I hate the mess. School started 2 weeks ago, and I´m busy with 2 big subjects (european law and state? law).

Hello Jacob - great to have you. Where in central California do you train?

Right now I'll train with just about anyone who will let me show up in the Fresno / Madera county areas! I am stationed in the foothills and do a lot of my training on-duty there, but in the last week have been in the cities of Fresno and Clovis with some other agencies as well.

We're still getting his bite built up, and the small victory this week was overcoming the majority of his floor and stair issues. Right now our learning curve is steep, and I think its just going to get steeper over the next month.

I've started him on article searches. I don't think he'll have much of an issue with that.

He's tracking over grass, a little mud, and some cement now.

He seems to have overcome a sleeve fixation that was caused by only biting a sleeve prior to me getting him, he bit an agitator in the butt last night.

I've got to say, after only a month of working with him, this is already the most fun I've had in this job!

I have just come back from my regular trip home and apart from lots of good toys :wink: brought back a lot of good humor
