Congratulations and I agree, awesome name! Can't wait to see lots of pictures and hear all about him! 8)
He's on a big blue bird heading this way. Pick him up tomorrow!!
Nice!!! Tyco was owned and trained by Hans Wittenberg, who nowadays isn't active in sports anymore, unfortunately.
I did not know that, thanks Ellen. What's with this crap about not being able to ship pups under 6 months of age starting this month? For that reason Panic and his sister had their passports fudge a little so they could make the deadline.
Wee little guy, but he's here.

Actually, Hans is still a member of the same KNPV club I train at :) After certification he sold him to the police (and he's still talking about him each time he visits the club).

For exporting over there I'm not sure, I do know that starting December 29 2014 we can't import pups under 15 weeks into our country anymore as they've made rabies vaccination mandatory (given at the earliest at 12 weeks plus minimum 3 weeks to be effective, for any country so also the declared rabies free ones). They're also changing the passports, only vets will be allowed to buy and issue passports. All thanks to the massive import of puppymill pups from certain eastern european countries and a case of a pup with rabies brought in from Marocco......

The only thing I can think of for exporting pup to the States, and given that the Netherlands are stll mentioned on the list of rabies free countries here is that if for whatever reason you'd have to have the dog returned to the seller, you wouldn't be able to have it enter the Netherlands without the rabies and waiting period, so before 15 weeks. That is also what it says on the page I linked to: "Puppies must not be vaccinated against rabies before 3 months of age, so the youngest that a puppy can be imported into the United States is 4 months of age." Where the 6 months come from? That would be true only if the pup didn't get the rabies vaccination and coming from a rabies free country (see the same page). At least, that is what I understand.
