Hey folks!
Looking forward to the new forum here. Some of you know me as Old earth dog Bob Scott. The only reason I still carry the old earth dog is cause I've not figured out how to drop it on the other forum. Here, I'm just Bob. Well, not necessarily just Bob. Bob will do.
60yrs old. Married almost 39 yrs. Three kids, 5 gkids. I've been a dog person as long as I can remember (sometimes only a few days
) My current dogs are Polly, 12yr old Border Terrier. Pete, 10yr old JRT, and Thunder, my 2yr old GSD.
I trained my first dog at 12yrs old (1957). Joined my first obedience classes in 65. Belonged to and trained with/for North St. Louis County Obedience Training Club (NCOTC) through the 80s. Belonged to the St. Louis Kerry Blue Terrier Club in the same period. Started natural earth work with terriers in the 80s through the 90s. Belong to Missouri Earthdogs. In addition to hunting with terriers, Missouri Earthdogs puts on fun days 4-5 times a year at Purina Farms in Gray Sumit Missouri. We also put on the national finals Terrier races for Purins Incredible Dog Challenge. I was involved with SAR for a few years, but left because of political bs and a lack of people that really understood dog training. In the past couple of years I've been involved with Riverfront Working Dog Club www.rwdc.org we train motivationally in Schutzhund. It's a WDA club. Because there are alread USA and DVG clubs in the area, we wanted to add another option for people in the area. In addition to schutzhund, myself and others on the team train for AKC, UKC, Iron Dog titles. Anything that will put a fe initials behind our dogs. We're basically a bunch of title hos
. With my current dog Thunder, I've only gotten to his BH, and next month hope to get his third leg of AKC CD. Titles I've earned in the past are AKC-CH, CD, CDX, UD, TD. Earthdog titles are CG (Certificate of Gameness) from a couple of different terrier organizations. I also have a couple of \"Best Colored Terrier in Show\" from true working terrier conformation shows. Basicall, ANY terrier other than a JRT is classifyed as a Colored dog. My competition in that class are Patterdales, Fells, Jags, and any crossbred WORKING terrier. I know I left something out. I'll bore you with it sooner or later.
