My lil terror of a pup is here!!!

OK I know theres a thread already started about my pup but I wanted to start my own, because, well, I do :p

I'm gonna keep this short, n I'll post pics tomorrow or something in the Photo Gallery...

She's a lil landshark, Cujo does fine with her, I'm more worried about her biting him than him biting her, so they are definately going to be seperated till she's older n everythings settled in. She's taken to me immediately, she's totally attached to me as of 3 minutes after taking her outta the crate. Everyone at the shipping office by the airport thought she was the coolest lil pup. She started out cautious n quiet, but within minutes she was lively n being a hyper goofy puppy. She doesn't seem to have any interest in Cujo, n Cujo's kinda curious but not going nuts running around her crate either.

She got her jaw stuck in her new wire crate, n won't shut up in there, whining, barking, jumping around with all 4 legs off the ground -- as soon as she started screaming from the jaw stuck in the crate I took her out and decided she's not going in that crate till she's much older, she's actually very quiet and calm n relaxed sitting in her airline shipping crate, so she can live in that for now till she outgrows it... I may consider just going vari-kennel for her till her mouth is big enough to not get caught on the wire crate bars.

She wants to bite everything, she's a demonic lil landshark LOL, she's been alotta fun so far but I see this whole 2 dog thing is gonna get a bit tedious... although now that I know she's calm n relaxed when in her airline crate, it may not be so bad, but she goes psycho in the wire crate.

And she's about half the size I thought she'd be which i'm happy about, :p, n a beautiful color, no photos can do her justice... n so far she hasn't stopped moving long enough to take a good photo.

I had some annoyances with customs, since customs is closed at 5, n the flight didn't come in till 6.15, but I got the paperwork emailed to me from DTC n had a pre-clearing agent arrange for customs clearance before the flight landed, cost another $100 but it means my pup doesn't have to stay overnight in their kennel. But it all worked out and I was very happy at the \"OK sign this paper n you're good to go\" pickup process, since all the customs crap was taken care of yesterday and this afternoon.

I'll post pics when I've had a chance to recouperate, I'm tired as hell lol.

WONDERFUL!

She sounds GREAT. A tiny little landshark jumping with all four feet at once.........I can so picture that!!!! The flight didn't take much outta her, I gather.

I can't wait for photos!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Mike, are you familiar with the old saying \"Be careful what you wish for\"! Looks like you got your wish  . Hang on for one he((ofa ride!
Dude, a new forum AND a new puppy?

You're a BEAST! Good luck, and I can't wait to read up on your dogs in your
blogs!
Congratulations with your little Dutchie!
When she's anything like my Marouck was when she was a puppy, you'll get your hands full
Congrats Mike, i´ll like to read all your stories about her
OH MY GOD SHE DOESN'T SHUT UP LOL! It's 6.30am.... enough said... LOL

OK so I've made the joke about the dutch shepherd puppy litter looking like a litter of kittens.... now, I swear I HEARD HER MEOW!! Yes! Really! I DID!! Her whining n screetching sounds exactly like a damn cat!!!

Seriously though, she's a really cool lil girl, she has the potty training thing down pretty good, Cujo's doing pretty good with the addition... he goes crazy in his crate when I put him in there to take her outside to potty, he doesn't like being left alone while I run off with his girlfriend  But he settles down pretty quick n is calm when I come back into the room n doesn't mind me playing with the pup for a few minutes before she goes back into the crate.

This is gonna be alotta of fun... I'll be sure to stock up on Excedrin (headache pills for those of you who don't know what that is), n I since she seems to wanna wake me up every 2 hours to go potty, looks like I'm not gonna get much sleep for a while :D

Ahhh.... those sleepless nights. I remember them when I had my kids. Dogs are a lot like kids only they grow up at warp speed and they don't talk back quite as much.

Have a ball... before you know it... she'll be all grown up and you'll be marrying her off.

Ah the joys of having a puppy! Have fun!
Mike, enjoy the puppy breath while it lasts. Congrats.
Mike, be careful about trying to suck up to much of that puppy breath. You may loose your sniffer with that pup.
I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! SHE SLEPT THRU THE WHOLE NIGHT!! :D :D :D :D :D :D
Good luck with the new puppy. Sometimes covering the crate with a sheet calms them down. Glad she made it through the night so that you could get some sleep, too. Puppies are sooooo cool !!!! Lots of work, but worth it all. Enjoy your little land shark :D SHe will grow up far too soon.
