OK so I'm loading up the crate into the truck bed to take Cujo over to Patrick's tonight to work with Jake, Cujo hops up into the truck bed when I tell him to, then hops down when I tell him to, I close the tailgate n tell him to \"Come\" expecting him to come sit in front of me... but nope, nope, instead of doing that, he runs at the back of the truck, jumps up n crashes head first INTO THE TAIL GATE!!

I swear it's the pain killers he's on, at least, I sure hope so!! That's probably the dumbest thing I've ever seen him do LOL. He even snagged a couple of hairs behind the tailgate handle. At least he didn't dent the truck. He knows he can't jump over the tailgate and he saw me put it up!

Poor Cujo! Maybe he should just stay home and rest? I wouldn't let a dog on pain killers ride in the bed of the truck...but then you're not a total moron  . I hope his tooth is better soon and he can bite people very soon!!!

Yes, not only can pain-killers (a) impair judgment, they also (b) reduce coordination.

Since he normally can't clear the tailgate anyway, I'd say it was (a).

That poor guy! I hope his tooth is better.

He doesn't ride in the bed, I just let him up there to keep him outta trouble

He had fun tonight though, basically run around a parking lot doing whatever he wanted, then sit in the crate while I get the shit bitten outta my arm, then run around the parking lot some more goofing off. He's not allowed to work for the next 2+ weeks, maybe longer depending how the tooth thing clears up. I don't see any change since yesterday but it's not as dark purple as it was when it had just happened.
