FYI...for those of you who do follow that link...

The website hosting that clip is www.liveleak.com (formerly www.ogrish.com). It is basically YouTube without constraints, people can upload whatever they want. There is sexual content there and there is extremely violent content towards people and animals. The site is notorious for posting clips of US soldiers being killed by insurgent snipers, IEDs, etc. These videos are uploaded by the terrorists themselves or sympathetic groups. There are also comment sections, forums and blogs where there is little constraint on content posted. You should probably stay away from that site if you're at work and reading this (it's a blocked site at some corporations and will show up as a porn "hit" on their firewalls).

Andy, just wanted people to know what they were getting into if they started clicking around, or if we have parents and kids watching the clip. Some of the stuff is upsetting, to say the least.

Woody,

You're a MOD so you're just doing your job, right? I guess a clip showing two dogs doing Mad Max agility workouts could be seen as "upsetting" in some people's eyes. Oh well, my mistake. And just as another fyi...NONE of the video uploading sites are aggressively monitored or kid friendly. Youtube.com has been in the news several times for allowing violent and/or criminal content.

Reread my reply, Andy. I'm not commenting on the clip. I'm letting people know what they are in for if they start clicking around that site. Chill out and PM me if you need to argue about it. You won't do it in this thread.

Hmmm...handlers in hardhats...must be USAR dogs in training!!! Although, here in the US our USAR dogs don't wear vests for anything other than air travel or public events.

And no, I'm not "turning this into a SAR thread." Just commenting on the reason why these dogs are doing what they're doing.

You're right, Andy. It certainly is impressive! Darn Labrador climbing those rungs like a little monkey! Gotta love those labs

Konnie,

Google says they're specially trained fire-rescue dogs gearing up for the Olympics.

Mike S,

I missed it the first time(too busy watching the ladder climb), but that's *exactly* what I was thinking after I watched it again!

You have it, then use it. You don't have it, that doesn't stop the work from being done. Simple.
