So I wanted to do one last quiz with you, this one's easier than the political compass but much like it. It's geared towards Americans so our international folks might laugh at some of the questions. Here's why I'm hoping people can take it:

1. It's like the Political Compass so it serves as a good "control" for the group if you happened to be off your noggin or drunk when you took the PC test;

2. It's quite timely, quick, and easy;

3. There is a lot of fun interpretation at the end to play around with that the other test didn't have (famous people, alignment to political parties, etc.). I know some of you were scratching your heads after the PC test, me too.

So here is the link:

http://www.okcupid.com/politics

I found this test on a Google search. This is a dating site--I am not on dating sites--but this is a test that basically steals from the PC test so its results should be close to that one. It's also anonymous. There were others I would have preferred but they involved registration, etc and that's a drag.

So...my scores?

Social Liberal
(63% permissive)

Economic Liberal
(28% permissive)

You are best described as a Democrat. You exhibit a very well-developed sense of Right and Wrong and believe in economic fairness.

So test away, it's only about five minutes of your time. If you took the other two tests, take this one if you're able.

If anyone hasn't taken the others, please take all three! Mo' data makes me mo' happy.

Thanks, last one I promise! Neat graphs meaning nothing to follow!

Said I was a

Social Liberal - 65%
Economic Liberal 13%

Best described as a Socialist - glad this is not in the public section of the forum!!

Actually, I think of myself as a capitalist but just not in support of big business - I think the big business runs the country - I think socialism and communism disincentivize people...but I do agree with "to each according to his need and from each according to his ability" But need means what you NEED not what you WANT.

You exhibit a very well-developed sense of Right and Wrong and believe in economic fairness.

Social 83%; economic 11%

Socialist. Altho there is more to it than that. There are many more buts and exeptions that are not factored in here; I firmly believe discussion is the best methodology of discovery, both self and social. So tests like this are neat, but somewhat polerizing and self reinforcing, ie.,of course I am xyz, because I believe abc, and vice versa. Then that attitude inhibits further thought and self reflection about why, and curiousity about one's opposite.

However, there is scientific validity to statistical evidence. I think that forums, such as this one, and others on other topics, are facinating. I have more in common with people geographically distant from me (or not), than I do with my neighbor. In this respect, common intrests and differing political views, and its statistical evidences, can be a glimpse about how it is possible for people to work together as an individual and social animal. So while the test says I am abc, and you are xyz, we can still disregard that and meet on a common ground and have a rational, impassioned discussion about what ever topic, including political beliefs!

But, modern society is discourages that. If you are xyz, then abc are your enemies, and vice versa. Truly sad.

The lady doth protest to much, methinks. :lol: :lol:

Kind of like a fortune cookie--they don't want to offend anyone. There is a restaurant in Mpls that does insulting fortune cookies...a date I was one once, she got one that said something like "Your arm hair is excessive and noticeable."

So it's interesting to me how much further to the right these results are. Huh. Curious to see how the stats work.
