Just joined this forum after I found it yesterday. Looks good!

I train and handle urban (disaster) search and rescue dogs for FEMA's MATF-1 in Beverly, MA and the DEMHS CTTF-1 in Hartford, CT. My training history includes canine wilderness area search, and water recovery as well. I've been involved in canine search and rescue since 1999.

Between my husband and I, we have 5 dogs (2 Mals, 1 Dutchie and 2 Labs). Riot is my 6-year old Belgian Malinois. His name says it all. I retired him from USAR because he's a bit much for the work. We're working on sport tracking and protection work right now just to give him something to do. Its a heck of a lot of fun! My other Mal is in training for USAR. I also just passed the FEMA FSA (basic test) with one of our Labradors. We'll be taking our advanced test this fall.

You can see photos of Riot at the following web site...

You can also see photos of me and my Labrador taking the FEMA FSA here...

Look forward to learning more from you all!

Welcome again, Konnie! Glad you are here.
Hi Konnie...the dutchie word does it  Do you know which bloodlines?
I don't have a pedigree for Stash the Dutch Shepherd. He's actually half Dutch Shepherd and half Malinois, but he looks mostly like a Dutchie. The only thing I know is that his mother (Malinois) is a working narcotics dog and his father (Dutch Shepherd) is a working PSD. He's a little guy - weighs in at 55 lbs. A friend of mine has his sister, and she's only 40 lbs. soaking wet.

Here is a photo of him...

a lot of the dutchie are cross breds (mine to). Was just wondering. Pic is very nice (we love pics here  )
