Jak's second attempt at stacking

OK we tried again today and got a couple of good shots. He was REALLY leaning against me BAD, but did a mich better job of staying where I placed him and letting me move his feet once he figured out that was the only way he was going to be allowed to go and get his toy, which is hanging on the trailer hitch of the truck about 30 feet in front of him! =P~

Hubby was again in the wrong place to take these first few pics, and then the neighbors' Boston Terrier was let outside and started barking, which got Jak's attention. The upside? You get to see Jak's pretty face!

Jak decided he had had enough of this stacking crap and sat on me:

The only 'editing' I did on these was to lighten them up because they were dark. I should have taken the keys out of my jacket pocket so it didn't stick out as far, but oh well!

Wait a sec........ this is the dog whose weight is worrying you?

He looks great to me. Pomfret only weighs about 64 pounds, full-grown adult GSD.
Posting stacking pics in a working dog forum? Oh, the shame. He looks fine, just have to break his legs so you can get that show look. :p :p

Next time, get a pic of him biting a jambierre. It will enhance his pretty eyes. ](*,)

What the he!! is a "jambierre," Jeff? :-k

You're right about breaking his legs to get the show look - he's never going to have a sloping topline, unless I stretch his rear leg WAY behind him, and that's not correct because then his hock wouldn't be vertical. I'm not worried about it - the main reason I'm doing it is just because I think a stacked picture or presentation of a German shepherd looks more 'polished,' or 'professional' than the dog just standing there. In these pictures, though, I was trying to do more of a "German style" stack rather than an AKC style stack. If he weren't LEANING ON ME, some of the pictures would have been better. Most of them are crap.

Hey hey hey, Jeff: even working dogs have to get the conformation rating to be bred in Germany! All dogs are taught to stack, some just look a little different doing it LOL.

Mah-vehlous, dahling! Such a wonderful example of GSD beef-cake
