Today we mourn the loss of our friend and fellow board member, Chris.
Chris was a very kind and generous man, he always had a way to make you laugh or cheer you up when you've had a really bad day or needed advice. I looked forward to meeting him in person this upcoming week and regret that I will never have the chance. Chris was a warm-hearted and friendly person, and he will be missed greatly.

Please keep his family and friends close in your thoughts and prayers.

Chris' contributions to this Forum will never be forgotten. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. RIP, Chris.
I am new here and didn't know Chris at all. From all of these posts he obviously was very much loved and respected. My condolences go out to his family, it's horrible enough to lose a loved one let alone right before the holidays.
Thank you everyone.
These are copied & pasted from Lisa Reese, the one who helped Laurie set up the account.

*For anyone wanting proof of Memorial acct legitimacy for Chris, you may contact Chase Pesonal Banker Jackie Krause, who opened the acct, at the Arizona Chase Bank branch to verify. The acct # again is 2949659912 and the bank phone number is 602-589-4031. All money goes ONLY to Laurie Michalek, who is the sole beneficiary.

***NOTE*** For those who knew and loved Chris, I now have a Memorial account open for him. If any of you would like to contribute to help his wife Laurie out with funeral expenses on this very sad, sad holiday, you can go to any Chase bank and make a deposit. The account # is 2949659912. For any of you that are not in ...the U.S. and need a routing # to make a deposit or wire transfer, please contact me at [email protected] hotmail.com. Many thanks in advance to you all for being Chris' friend and for any support that you may be able to give.

She is also looking into setting up a paypal account that goes directly into the Chase account. A lot of people are in other countries & asking for paypal. When that is set up I post it up here. Thank you.

I don't know if this is the first time that a member of WDF passes away, but couldn't there be a sticky thread with tributes to beloved members? With pictures, quotes, nice memories?
So they always are remembered?
I thought this was cool from the end of the interview linked above. He was talking about harmonica playing, but I am sure he would have said it about dog training too...kinda suites his sch III talk !

Last words to members of HOOT?

Be yourself, don't compromise. Don't quit trying because you think you can't do something. If you stop working on something, somebody else will come along and do what you wanted to do. See your goals on the highest peak possible. You may not reach the pinnacle but I guarantee that you will have an incredible journey trying to get there … and you will never regret the effort or the beauty it brings to you.
This is how I will remember Chris. He may have liked to ruffle peoples feathers but his words of encouragement were always life giving.

I second this as a good idea. I would like to see his Xico "focus" video on there. The one where Jesse is hollerin in the background. Also some of those good Harmonica vids.

Does anyone remember when his Avatar location on WDF said "In another Dimension"

defo gets my vote, would be nice to have a corner to remember people by.
Will talk about it w/ admin, but don't hope it has to be used frequently. Will make this thread a sticky, to preserve it.
I can hardly believe what I have been reading here....Chris is just too much alive to be dead....utterly shocking! Chris was one of my best buds on here, I'm really going to miss him.

My sincerest condolences to his nearest and dearest.

RIP Chris.
and a personal note: hope the pay pal acc can be set up, please let me know if it is working.

Thanks again for your efforts Jeremy.
Ive been trying to have some fun here but his memory is looming.
Nice thought and a good idea Martine
Very sad! This should be a reminder to you all. I see what happened to Chris and some of my health problems.

I hope all of you are trying to live life it's fullest every day you have on this earth.
I saw your post Lee while in the hospital myself and it is hard to post using tapatalk on the iPhone, but this added with Chris's passing has really hit home for me.

Chris like me is/was a world class musician both of us dealt with the battle of the middle age bulge too. I felt a lot in common with him even though we never met or even talked on the phone. Just through his insights and witty humour on the boards and Facebook.

I feel a great sense of loss for Chris's friends, wife and family, and hope that she is surrounded by others that love her like Chris loved her to help her out during this difficult time.

I really do hope that someone continues on with Chris's dogs and gets that National Level SchH 3 that touted his Malinois to be it would be awesome to see that little dream of Chris's get fulfilled.

As Lee said I do hope we all can love each other a little more and life just that much fuller hold the people you love close to your heart this upcoming holiday season and keep that feeling all year.

And for god sakes take care of ourselves so we you can continue to live love and laugh with your families for years to come.

I never know what to say. I always figure my way of dealing with things like this are ****ed up.

You were a pain in my ass. But you were not supposed to go so soon. I would have liked to have seen your dog get his three.
