Today we mourn the loss of our friend and fellow board member, Chris.
Chris was a very kind and generous man, he always had a way to make you laugh or cheer you up when you've had a really bad day or needed advice. I looked forward to meeting him in person this upcoming week and regret that I will never have the chance. Chris was a warm-hearted and friendly person, and he will be missed greatly.

Please keep his family and friends close in your thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear this.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
Jeremy , I don't want to forget about all his friends . You guys stay tough and I'm thinking about you all too .
Was just on his Facebook page. He posted 15 hours ago... I'm just speechless....
I am fuking speechless Im in shock :(
I really couldn't say it any better Mike. 9 months ago I lost one of my closest friends, likely due to the same reason. No matter the cause unexpected death has a way of rattling a person in a way that cannot be compared to anything else.

I feel empty. :-s
Myself or Ashley will update this topic as we get more info.
That would be great Im not a face book member Chris is a Minnesota boy I met him and his wife a couple of years ago when they came out and visited our club.
I would like to know if he will be coming back home to rest.

Not sure yet. His parents are coming down in the morning. I will let everyone know when & where the funeral will be.

Wow, how devastating! I am so sorry to hear this, my deepest condolences to his friends and family.
Holy crap! Thats bloody terrible news. I really dont know what to say other than I wish his famlies and friends the best. Here I was not long ago giving him a hard time about him and his Mali getting to the worlds and then hes passed away. It really puts things in perspective.
Im really saddened by this news.
Chris was a cool dude that did some really cool stuff! I enjoyed chatting with him on a variety of topics not just limited to dog training. He always seemed in a good mood and happy about something. Why wouldn't he be? Got to create insturments, music, and help others do the same. Had a wife he loved very much and some dogs to work with and keep him company.

He seemed really into sharing...music or dog training. A while back he copied and sent me a whole whack of dog training dvds...just because. He sent me a fursaver for my new pup too, something that didn't fit his mal, but he thought I might use. Just the other day he was telling me about a new book he ordered, saying he would fire it my way once he was done with it.

Hopefully I can pass the sharing and passion for life and dog training he embodied on to others. That is how I am going to remember him.

Picture of my pup growing into the fursaver he sent:

Terrible news...My thoughts & prayers go out to his family/friends...God Speed. TS
I can't believe this. What a very sad, tragic day. My condolences to his friends and family.
Didnt know chris very well or long but he will be missed on this forum for sure. What I did learn about him was that he was a man of many traits, loved a bit of humor and gave as good as he got on any topic....

My condolences and best wishes for his family and for his friends on this forum. I will miss his presence on this forum.
I will let everyone know you all send your condolences.

Just a couple personal thoughts.
I joined this board asking for help not knowing anyone. I just bought a pet GSD & thought I was the shit. Chris introduced himself, gave me his number & invited me out to his training group like he did with many others before & after me. He welcomed me in & sat next to me explaining everything that was going on. He gave me dog training books, dvd's, & was always there when i had a question. He would call me up then send me links to dogs on youtube & ask me what I see & explain what was going on. Chris is the reason im in dogs now. He's the reason i got a better dog, just to keep up with him. We had a friendly digging going on between our 2 dogs but that made me better. This last week we got into an argument & didn't talk to muchfor the last couple days. Over petty shit that doesn't even seem worth it now. Chris can be a dick at times but every night we would joke about it at training. You either love him or hate him. Thats Chris.
In person he was a good friend & I wouldn't be where im at if it wasn't for him. Gonna miss him.

I remember a few weeks ago talking with him on the phone and being left with the impression that this guy not only would go out of his way to help someone but he enjoyed it. That is a quality I find very rare in the self absorbed culture that we live in.
I was very shocked and saddened to see this.

Chris was an extremely kind hearted, caring and positive person. He went out of his way to help people and welcome them to training and anything else he had going on. I will miss talking to Chris and seeing him joke around on the internet forums. Please give my condolences to his family. I know he will be missed and mourned by many.
