See MIKE, this is when we need that the most.
Hemi's tests (a blood test and a spinal... OUCH!!) came back confirming the Distemper diagnosis, but they told me they have NEVER seen levels coming back down to normal SO FAST. As soon as Hemi is 3-4 months old, he's getting his necessary shots, but I'm never re-vaccinating the little guy for ANYTHING (except rabies, but only the 3 year ones)!!! I'm also going to get him a little yellow or bright orange bandanna that says "Caution! Dog is Blind!" for when he gets a little older. I don't want people just waltzing up to him and petting him, that's a GREAT way to get bit by any dog, and especially a blind dog. I doubt I'd have a problem, but I just don't want people bothering him. Of course, if I'm going to be out walking him, Carbon will likely be with me as well, and I doubt if anyone is going to really want to approach 2 big dogs.

NEW PICS OF HIM ARE IN THE GALLERY!!! He is spunkier than he was when we didn't know he was sick yet. He just won't stop moving, and if he brushes against your pantleg, you're guaranteed to have 6lbs+ of puppy hanging off your leg, growling ferociously. His coordination is much better, and he gets around great. He's learned his mental map of our living room/kitchen and RUNS around it every now and then just for the hell of it. He also still bounces around sideways, yipping at you, if he knows you're there and you aren't paying him enough attention. He also had to be taken off raw, but he's eating Nutro Ultra Holistic Formula canned food (it looks really good, has chunks of lamb meat with some rice, peas, and I think I saw corn). The vet said I can move him to raw again when his immune system is 100% again. I'm getting my good camera back next Monday, so I'll take a zillion pics of him running around acting goofy and post them.
