EXCELLENT! Ain't it a new world when you can lose the dial-up?

One of my nieces says she'd rather lose her indoor plumbing than her cable internet connection.

My kids, who live in civilized areas, have never experienced the horrors of dial-up.

How old is Toby?

LOL I can access the internet from work but they block the photo sites and I really don't want to be online too much then anyway, so I mainly go online while waiting for con calls to start up or when I am between tasks.

We cut TV down to basic cable - so it is network TV, PBS, and CSPAN, etc. but that is all we really need, if that - you can get all the news you need off of the internet through legitimate news sites to pay for using the cable internet.

I ditched the HBO and other high-end cable channels to justify Comcast ISP, too. Comcast is my biggest utility bill! Pathetic.

Very nice looking pack there! Congrats on getting rid of dial-up. I just got off of it 2 weeks ago, it's a great thing. Funny you can tell where my priorities lie: I have basic cable on all tvs, but broadband on my brand-new computer.
For all you techies out there my computer is a Compaq Presario with Windows XP Media Center 2005. 1024MB Memory, 250 GB Hard Drive. Also has the LightScribe DVDRW. Don't know if it's good, but it's faster than any computer I've ever owned!

LOL, believe me, after my last computer crashed I was going to move away from Windows, but my new animation software I finally bought runs on Windows only (I think). I found this computer on sale for $819 and then it had $300+ in rebates, so I decided it'll be fine.
