Howard Alexander Knauf, March 5, 1960 - September 19, 2021

Many of you will remember Howard Knauf who was a regular contributor on here and my best friend of many years.

Sadly, Howie passed away at home in Melbourne, FL. on Sunday September 19, 2021 after a long and painful battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife and two children who he loved very much and will surely miss him. For myself, I have lost the best friend I ever had, the most naturally perceptive K9 trainer I have ever met and one of the funniest guys ever. I will miss him dearly.

Funeral Service is at 12 noon on October 2, 2021 at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home. 560 Montreal Ave. Melbourne FL 32935 Burial in Eau Gallie Cemetery to follow.

Rest in peace Howie

I'm sad to hear this. He gave such sound advice and will be missed by the K-9 community. Rest, Howard. We have it from here.

I'm really sorry to hear this news. Howard was a great guy and a great handler. Howard came to a hard surface tracking seminar I taught a couple of years ago in Port St.Lucie. I got to work with him and his guys, which was a lot of fun for me.

Howard was a super nice guy, he will be missed.
