I am looking to form a working dog club just west of Charlotte in the Gaston or Lincoln County area. The focus of the club will be in training personal protection and police K9's in realistic obedience and protection scenarios. This would be a place for civilians that are serious about training and for K9 handlers wishing to gain some additional training time.
I have several K9 handlers that are wanting to participate and a handful of civilians interested.
A training location is being worked as I type this.
I will be providing all the protection equipment needed to start this off.
There is some thought about making this an ASR club. I was a member back when it first began but never competed due to the lack of clubs in the area.
Please reply or respond privately if you have any interest in helping form this club.

Mark, you should make it an ASR club. We are in Augusta and there's another being formed in Spartanburg S. C. There's a lot of people up that way that are looking for an ASR club. If we at the CSRA-ASR club can help you with anything let us know. We are wanting to put on an ASR seminar or just a good training day to show everyone what to train for frome entery level on up.

ASR is the direction I'm leaning towards. I like the generating interest in the NC, SC, and GA area. All of these locations would be easy commutes for trials, seminars, etc.
I would like to make it down to Spartanburg soon and check that out.
What is the best way to set up some type of structure to a club? I'm unsure about dues and matters such as that.
