Showline history, right?

Edited to say...Ch Klodo V Boxberg is a pretty, pretty dog. Too bad they don't look like that anymore.
Thanks Tim! Very interesting.
Woody, there was no huge distinction between showline and working line up till the "improvement" in the breed during the 60s-70s.
You can blame it on the sickly, but attractive Lance of Fran-Jo here in the states. What a piece of shit this thing was. %ucked like a rabbit, and so influenced the American showlines crap we see now. Shame on them.

Ch Klodo V Boxberg was a fear biter. Good start right? Good thing he was pretty.

Just talking about the appearance of the dog. no idea about his temperment.

Yeah, I know about the showline schism from past postings...but what I was saying (asking) specifically is that this lineage chart is a showline run of dogs (referring to the last few generations with the roach backs, etc.)?.?.
In my opinion, thread title should have been "The DEVOLUTION OF THE GSD".

Woody, you are very right: that chart was showline. Most of those dogs on that chart are in my dog's pedigree.

As for the de-evolution comment: to each his own. I must say I've wrinkled my nose at the looks of more than one working line gsd...
