I always buy the balls on ropes so that I can throw them far ( as women can't throw to save their lives  )
Thats why these things were invented:

Lets you throw a tennis ball 30-45 meters without any real effort. I like the \"Flying Squirrel\" they show on that same site, it's Cujo's favorite toy, he goes crazy when I bring that out.

I am with you, Mike, those flying squirrels are the best. That rotation through the air, even how it lands on the ground...brings out some serious enthusiasm in my dog. Her favorite toy, without a doubt. And much easier on arms than throwing balls. I also like that she can truly \"chase\" the thing as its flying. 15 minutes of that and I have a brand new dog.
Oh heck yeah, it also makes a great tug toy for a young dog, Cujo's first one got torn into tiny lil pieces after a while, but I found a local store that sells em for $10 so he got a new one for Christmas :D :D

Sometimes my dog can even jump up n catch it if it lands slow enough, also great for motivational OB work, my dog will do absolutely anything it takes to get to chase that thing.
