Is it me or does this show really suck now? There hasn't been a notably good episode all season n tonights is really reaching! CSI NY is pretty good, CSI Miami is, well, yeah it's CSI Miami  But I'm really disappointed, I used to really like this show, now it's been far superceded by pretty much all the other new major crime shows on TV, incl CSI NY.

Well, I haven't seen it, but one of my sisters loves CSI Miami, and she agrees with you about Vegas.

So there.

NCIS and The Unit are two of my fav shows but since we've added Tues night to training I haven't seen either one this season.
I saw last season's The Unit, I really liked that but somehow lost interest between seasons, NCIS is among my favorites though. I also like Bones and Criminal Minds on weds.

And yes, it is odd to me that every crime drama you watch has a different department solving crimes, it makes you wonder who really does the work  CSI says CSI solves the crimes, NCIS says that lotsa marines get murdered  Shark and Close To Home imply the prosecutors office do all the work, Bones is based on the story of a real life forensic anthrapologist n is somewhat believable because it's FBI doing the investigating n she gets to tag along, but has an unusual amount of involvement in actual policing. I have just come to accept, TV is TV, it's entire existance is to entertain me, if a show is entertaining I don't care how technically correct it is ;)

A little off topic here but many moons ago when I was a USMC MP a NCIS agent paid us a visit he wrote the following on the board:

F - First
B - Bunch of
I - Idiots

S - Second
B - Bunch of
I - Idiots

A fellow MP walked up to the board and wrote:

CID - will only assume after the patrol officer has done most of the leg work and has suspect in custody.

NCIS - will only assume if the patrol officer and CID has the suspect, the weapon and a confession.

TV makes everyone, but a patrol officer, look like mental giants and heroes.

Don't watch any of the CSI shows, but we are ADDICTED to Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Mariska Hargitay. That's all I have to say...  Another one of those attractive, thin female cops.

Anyway...on topic...

My mother-in-law absolutely LOVES CSI: Miami! So that's another vote after Connie's sister.

Well, I used to really enjoy SVU, but after a while I got kinda sick of the same ol' storylines "Molested child, find out who did it, go arrest em" I have started watching the shows Justice and the regular Law & Order recently. I also always enjoyed the Criminal Intent Law & Order shows but whenever I catch it on TV it's an episode I've already seen so I stopped watching that too.

It is a bit repetitious at times, but again. Mariska Hargitay. Er, wait. I mean Christopher Meloni. No I don't.

The guy on Law & Order: Criminal Intent freaks me out. He's just...I dunno. Weird. Good show, though.

haha, I love him, in a totally heterosexual way, the weirdness is so cool, such a change from the usual "look I'm a hardass tough guy" kinda actors. I really like the "make everyone think you're creepy till they confess" approach ;)

A quote for the ages.

If you all are talking about Vincent D'Onofrio, he is awesome, check out "Full Metal Jacket" and "The Cell" for really cool performances. But he's good in everything.

I could say all those "new fangled" cop shows are exploitative bordering on porngraphic, but I'm not. Did I just say that? I can't point fingers, I'm hooked on that "To Catch A Predator" stuff on NBC.

I'll just say...watch "The Office" over and over. It's awesome, there are no murdered molested children as a plotline, and Steven Carell and the rest of the cast are outstanding.

Respectfully,
Your Family Values Man
