I would say they probably lack the drive. Some american bullies have some drive but all the gameness of the pitbull has been bred out.

I didn't get a chance to see what media you put up but I will look at it later. Yes, other breeds have done it but they have the drive and it took a lot of hard work most likely. Main reason I say no is body type becuase there is no same xl american bully with every breeder and the same goes for temperaments. Not only are they all very different but some just don't have the body of a working dog. One may be 200 pounds but it has short legs and a big body with its belly hitting the ground. I have seen that wieght often is used to classify as xl. A big dog doesn't necessarily make a good worker. Look at the dogo argentino and some american bulldogs (not johnson type) and they are big but they have athletic bodies and are capable. I would say maybe with a ton of hard work it's possible but that would be for some minor stuff. If it was a pitbull, then yes I would say it could do it, but these are different dogs.

To say that AB doesn't have the drive in general is an absurdity. First what's an AB? To me all the dogs pictured in the first post are not AB, they're designer dogs not working dogs. AB is first and foremost a working dog. Granted probably hard to find nowadays as they're drowned out in an ocean of pumpkin heads, much like my breed the rottweiler. But when you find the right line, oh watch out.. Everything is there with the added bonus that the dog is not rank driven, and is made in the USA! AB is my next in line breed of choice after a good rott, only because I don't like the short little white hairs stuck in everything.

American Bullies do lack drive. If it is hard to find a dog with good drive then the breed lacks drive, so I don't know what point you were making schutzrott. I also agree titled parents are a very good thing and choosing the pitbull might be a better option. As a beginner though you may want a "generic" breed because you may not have luck with an uncommonly used breed.
