That's really exciting!Mike Schoonbrood said:We've started Lÿka on her bitework the last couple weeks, since she's teething we don't do any tug with her, just build frustration/drive then reward with a good full mouth bite and let her walk around with the sleeve n get her to understand "the game". The first session was pretty disappointing I must admit, she didn't have much interest in the tug n didn't quite understand the concept of working with a helper. The 2nd time she did great, I was impressed with how her mind changed about what she was supposed to do n suddenly she was going nuts for the soft jute puppy leg cuff we use on her. Now this morning we gave her the 3rd workout, no whip, nothing, n oh my god that lil girl went crazier than I've ever seen her for that cuff, I was super excited seeing her acting this way, I see so much potential! We've also got her started on Schutzhund style tracking n she's doing pretty good with that, but only had 3 sessions doing that total, tracking doesn't look very impressive this early on  I can't wait till all her new teeth are set n we can start fighting with her. I have her doing her sit/down/stand in OB, wasn't even remotely a challenge to get her to understand those commands, n the easiest command is "woof" she starts barking like nuts  She's done that since the day I've had her, bark at her n she barks back, n this easily carried over to her alert command.
