I'm still learning how to use my new camera, so I only got a few decent shots this week. Hopefully there will be better ones next week, and then by the 22nd, when Jerry comes up, I should know what I'm doing enough to get good shots.

This was in "night mode," so it turned out a little blurry, but this is Armour Z Liptova (Armour), Rob Smith's police K9:

These are two dogs that belong to some of the newbies. They're just in it for fun:

(I think this girl looks like a dingo :-# )

There weren't many people there this week, and my cousin didn't get to come because she's sick, so no pics of me and Jak this time either. We did a little bit of defense work with Jak. He's never been worked in defense, though, so he was a little confused and kept barking at the sleeves that were thrown around on the ground, but he'll learn. He didn't get to bite anything this time, and he was NOT happy about that; I had a heck of a time getting him back in his crate whenever I took him off the field! Afterwards, I had him out thinking maybe he needed to pee, but he didn't; he just wanted to go back down on the field and bite something!  I took him down to where everyone was BSing before they left, and he decided to climb up onto the table where the sleeves were laying, grab one, and thrash the hell out of it. Ahh yes, the joys of adolescence!

Regarding the Malinois in the picture...I don't like it's structure at all.

Can you find out what lines it's from, and where it was bred?

I sincerely hope that Mals don't become "americanized" and WATERED DOWN!!! :x :x :x

Edit: Kristen just sent me additional pictures. I stand corrected...and retract what I said about the dog's structure.

I'm noticing a change in AKC mals. I've seen a couple of shows now (live and on TV) where I'm noticing coat, structure (especially the head) and weight changes (for the worse). I always know all good things come to an end.

Ref Mal in pictures

The Male you are looking at is named Koda, I co-own him with the lady pictured working him. He is just under 2 years old. He is a very nice dog and trust me that was not his good side. I have added a link of his pedigree off my site. For the ones that do not like him, you might be shocked at who he is out of.....

Koda will become a very good dog. He's with some very knowledgable people that know how to train. Nice pedigree. May have to put a concret block in Charlotte's pocket though. That's a lot of dog for a 4 ft 11 inch 92 pound lady. She's as tuff as he is, I HOPE :D
