Howard, when I was working earth dogs we hunted on a farm with sheep and a donkey. The farmer told us to be sure and tuck the terriers in our hunting coats when we crossed the sheep field.
We had one terrier go to ground right outside the fence and had to abandon it (the hole, not the dog :grin: ) because that donkey was doing it's best to roll UNDER the fence to get to our dogs. :-o
Of course being "normal" crazy little bassids, the terriers were more then willing.....the weight class just wasn't suited to them though. All they did was fire up the donkey. We got out while the gittin was good! 8-[
