Why do I have to sign in again each time I visit the forum?

When signing in, check the "Remember Me" box. This will keep your browser signed in to the forum so you won't have to type in your username or password again in future.

Do NOT click the "Log Out" option, as this will log you out and you will need to type your username and password again next time you want to visit the forum.

But won't that keep my name active on the Who's Online page?

No. The Who's Online page is based on your activity on the forum. After 30 minutes of zero-activity, your name will drop off the list automatically.

Hi Mike,

I hit the remember me button but when I close my browser and return in a few hours I stillo need to type in my user name and password. Is that something I need to set up in my browser? My other sites remember my login.

What browser/OS are you using? What do your Cookie settings say?

I use firefox. My cookie settings allow the other sites to remember but I'LL check it again.

OK, I had this site set for session only. That should fix it now that its changed.
