| Didn't Receive email confirmation. Especially Yahoo users. When registering for this forum there is a multi-step process in order to only allow legitimate users on board. The process is as follows: You Register for the forum. The forum sends you an email to confirm your email address. This email contains a link. Click this link to confirm your email address. Your registration then shows up in a list of users that have confirmed their email addresses, which the administrator of the forum then manually approves or denies. The Potential Problems Yahoo and other Spam Filtered Users: Yahoo's Spam filter is a little over protective and often likes to consider many legitimate emails as spam. 19/20 times when someone didn't receive email notifications from this forum, they are Yahoo users. If you didn't receive the email confirmation email that this forum sends out then check your Spam folder for the email. If it's there, move it to your inbox and add "admin@workingdogforum.com" to your White List so our emails don't get tossed into the Spam folder again. If it's not there, add admin@workingdogforum.com to your White List anyway and then email admin@workingdogforum.com with the name you registered under and let us know that your email confirmation never arrived. We have many many users sitting in the "Awaiting Email Confirmation" group that never bothered to check their spam folder or contact us to ask why they can't sign in to the forum. It is a shame to lose so many members to spam filters. |
