I believe the dog is free to a good working home, however, I personally think a small "donation" (a couple hundred bucks) to the owner would be appropriate for all the time and effort she's put into the dog.

2 year old spayed female German Shepherd from Czech and East German lines. Copy of pedigree possibly available. Acquired by current owner one year ago through a sort-of rescue situation (breeder of dog was having financial issues and had to get rid of several dogs). This female is small in size - 65 lbs. and a little chubby.

This dog has too much energy and drive to be in a family home. I would recommend her to anybody experienced person wishing to participate in club level sport or for narcotics/bomb/cadaver detection (given the right circumstances and an experienced trainer). This dog has a somewhat low defensive threshold but is safe around adults and supervised children. She does like to herd children. She LOVES to play with a ball. When I tested her hunt drive, she hunted for her ball thrown in the woods. However, she is very obedient to and in tune with her owner and doesn't show a lot of independence.
