| Omaha, Nebraska My dad is interested in maybe getting a military retired working dog. I am trying to dissuade him as he doesn't currently do much besides go jogging and do off leash walks with his current dog, but he would be willing to learn. I'm trying to get him to take a nice mellow rescue dog instead because I think he may end up with too much dog, so we'll see how it goes. Anyways, I am trying to impress upon him that if he gets a younger retired MWD that he needs to do something to continue to work it mentally. Ann or anyone have have any experience with any of the dog sport (Schutzhund, agility, rally, etc) clubs around Omaha who would work with a total dog sport newbie (he's done a teeny bit of hunting with his old Brittany and Vizsla, I don't think he's tried with his Weim) who's about Bob's age? Yeah, ancient, I know!
