Thanks for the clarification. On the other hand, Mals are getting more popular in the service fields as compare to the other notable breed. Can I safely say that for those Mas that made it into services such as PSD or MWD, they are actually the exceptional ones as compare with the usual Mals that may be too nervy or hardheaded ? I agree those working are exceptional dogs. Someone was saying that a working GSD is a better option as an overall candidate. IMO, One needs to be certain that the GSD is indeed a working line- and has been screened for HD,I personally would want a Mal, even though I love my GSD Cammo, who is from a working line- I have also asked the guys in charge of the various police K9's in Fla. and they agree with and have also said to me, they feel that Mals are just to much for some of their novice handlers-but they can get a great working GSD, who will do the job just as well, but a little easier for new K9 officers to adapt to.
I also agree with Eros, working dogs take a lot of time and money, then you may get that exceptional dog. Mo
